– 1965 –
Founder, James E. Morten ( known as Jim to family and friends ) Jim’s career began in Ontario, Canada, working in the printing industry for many years as a “camera operator” where art was photographed to compose copy for the printed projects. As Jim’s career advanced, the focus moved towards sales and management after moving to St. Petersburg, Florida in the early 1960’s. Working in print sales for a small firm, Jim met Robert M. Menke (founder and President of Bankers Financial Corporation) through a business networking association, where the two of them partnered and created Interprint Incorporated in 1965.
– 1969 –
Four years later, in 1969, Jim and Robert relocated Interprint to Clearwater, Florida and built the company’s main offices.
– 1984 –
In 1984, Jim purchased 100% of the company, and became owner and principle share holder along with his wife, Lorraine Morten, and sons.
– 1990 –
In 1990, the company moved towards specializing in the publication and catalog markets, where today the company’s distribution is throughout Florida as well as the Southeast United States.
– 2021 –
After all these years, Interprint is still family owned and operated, with senior management working in the printing industry for over 40 years. One of Jim Morten’s creeds, which is ingrained into the culture of the company, was “never give up”. This determination and spirit is alive and reflected every day as Interprint continues to serve our customers on a regional and national basis.
