❈1965
Founder, James E. Morten (known as “Jim” to family and friends). Jim’s career began in Ontario, Canada, where he worked in the printing industry for many years as a “camera operator,” where art was photographed to compose copy for printed literature. As Jim’s career advanced, his focus shifted towards sales and management after moving to St. Petersburg, Florida in the early 1960’s. While working in sales at a local commercial printing company, Jim met Robert M. Menke (founder and President of Bankers Financial Corporation) while attending a business networking conference. At that time, the two of them partnered and created Interprint Incorporated in 1965.

❈1969
Four years later, in 1969, Jim and Robert relocated Interprint to Clearwater, Florida, and built the company’s main offices on US Highway 19, where their corporate offices are centrally located.

❈1984
In 1984, Jim purchased 100% of the company, and became owner and principle share holder along with his wife, Lorraine, and sons.

❈1990
In 1990, the company direction and production moves towards specializing in magazines, catalogs and direct mail, where today the company’s distribution is throughout Florida as well as the Southeast United States and beyond.

❈2024
After all these years, Interprint is still family owned and operated, with senior management working in the printing industry for over 40 years. One of Jim Morten’s favorite creeds, which is ingrained into the culture of the company, was “never give up”.  Jim’s drive, determination and spirit is alive and reflected every day as Interprint continues to service our customers printing and mailing needs on a regional and national basis.
